Reverberations of a dancer

The image of Karen Bond, a 20-year-old Denison University dance student, reverberates between two mirrors set up in the basement "studio" of the old Advocate building at 25 W. Main St.  Karen was majoring in government, hoping for a job in foreign service.

What made this place a studio was the end of a roll of newsprint suspended by a couple of wires from the ceiling for a background and a few old beat-up flood lamps and a spotlight. Pretty basic.  And the mirror had scratches, if you look closely.

This version of the photo shows me kneeling nearby as I tried to hold the camera steady and smoke a cigarette at the same time.  Not such good technique.

The published photo didn't include my image and that improved it considerably.
