Cheri Brooks Cheri Brooks, Miss Newark of 1962, and I climbed to the roof of the old Newark Trust Building for this shot.  I think that's the spot. She was a trooper and was always willing to stop whatever she was doing for another promotional photo and there were many. All I know is someone wasn't doing a very good job of explaining why we shot that photo with the bunny. I guess to promote the Miss Newark contest. Cheri was a worthy queen, both in looks and personality. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bud Brooks, her dad was circulation director at the Advocate for many years.
