Diane Mann: A beauty who could speak to a camera

Diane Mann was truly a special kind of model because
she could speak to a camera with her eyes, with her expressions,
and always look so comfortable, so at ease, and so pretty.

It definitely was a talent that came naturally to her.

This photo was shot in her bedroom (yes, with the approval of her mother).

We were doing a fashion layout on sleepwear, during which I shot color slides for my own amazement as well as black and white for the paper.

She was a Licking Valley cheerleader 40-some years ago.

It has always amazed me how much cheerleaders changed from the time I was in high school - in the 50's - and the time this was taken - 15 or so years later.

I don't think they fed cheerleaders very well back in the 1950's.

See what I mean?
