MORPHING

The Newark Tea Party

The Newark Tea Party began at this web site several months ago as an answer to what was then a local void for fair commentary about local government and other matters of local importance. Since that time the Advocate has developed a better web site, hired better reporters and editors, and is trying, I think, to serve readers as best it can under the journalistic and profit-oriented restraints of Gannett, its parent company.

While that was happening, I allowed this site to become cluttered and disorganized. I signed on with Blogger and began publishing my essays and observations there, where they can be searched by key words and by tags. Here's the link to Observations from Newark Ohio.

Meanwhile, I kept adding to the imagery of this site with heavy emphasis on the photos I took as an Advocate staffer, 1962-6.

Again clutter and disorganization overtook me. I have created literally hundreds of html pages with images that I've shown here, then taken them down and filed for later display and suitable indexing. This project is an exercise in swimming upstream.

Of course I hope to fix all that and as the demands of other various projects are met, maybe I'll git'er done. Until then, I offer you these galleries and maybe an occasional current photo, likely to be linked from the Observations page.
