| The Friendly Forest
Seven months of painting details in a 40-foot hallway ![]() No detail was too small to be overlooked in the long process of creating the Friendly Forest. Even the alignment of paintings to fit the doors and gates from the perspective of a little child was considered - as in this scene that looks from one of the rooms out into and across the hallway. The waterfall is placed so it can be seen perfectly framed by the doorway and makes it appear the river's bank is in the foreground. Tom Cowles Gallery Index Newark Tea Party Index Page One |
